2025 The Battery: P&C and Hitting Camp
July 1, 2025 - 10am – 4pm
Rising 4th grade and up
The UNCG Spartan Prospect camp is for girls grades 4th and up who have aspirations of playing softball at a higher level. This camp will have participants divided into competitive groups for all sessions. Campers will build on existing skills and fundamentals to elevate their game as well as advanced skill work. The pitching and catching session will be from 10am-1pm and 2-4pm (for non-hitting pitchers). The hitting session will be from 2pm-4pm.
*Lunch will be from 1pm-2pm and will not be provided.
Participants will be split into age/skill specific groups during camp.
•The fundamentals of pitching and catching will all be addressed during the morning session.
•Additional advanced pitching skills will be covered in the afternoon session.
•The hitting portion of camp will focus on fundamentals of the swing as well as advanced concepts of our offense.
•Each session will incorporate drills and strategies of our team.

Play Like a Spartan: Offense & Defense Camp
Session 1: July 9th
Session 2: August 6th
10am – 1:30pm
Rising 2nd grade and up
The UNCG Spartan Skills camp is for girls entering grades 2nd grade & up who want to improve their game and/or aspire to play softball at the collegiate level. This camp is a 2-day opportunity and will have participants divided into competitive groups for both sessions. Each session focuses on team strategies but also includes individual skill work beyond the basics for all areas of the game, including offensive, defense and position specific work. Each session is designed to enhance the player's skills, with specific drills and focus areas targeting different aspects of the game.
•Players will be split into age/skill specific groups during camp.
•Nutrition and the importance of fueling the body will be targeted within each session.
•Infield, outfield, pitching, catching, and hitting will be addressed during both sessions.
•This camp will cover the specifics of glove work, footwork, and fundamentals necessary to improve all aspects of defensive play.
•The hitting portion of camp will focus on fundamentals of the swing.
We will introduce multiple drills and cover strategies to improve as a hitter.

2025 Prospect Camp

Rising 7nd grade and up
The UNCG Spartan Prospect camp is for girls grades 7th and up who aspire to playing softball at the collegiate level. This two-day camp will have participants divided into competitive groups for all sessions. Campers will build on existing skills and fundamentals to elevate their game as well as advanced skill work. This camp will include opportunities for pitchers and catchers. There will be scrimmage opportunities during this 2-day event.
•Participants will be split into age/skill specific groups during camp
•The fundamentals of infield, outfield, pitching, catching, and baserunning will all be addressed during this session
•The hitting portion of camp will focus on fundamentals of the swing as well as advanced concepts of our offense
•Each session will incorporate drills and strategies of our team
•The use of video will be implemented to give visual concepts

•Please bring turfs/tennis shoes for indoor spaces.
