UNCG Softball: All Skills Camp

November 15th, 2025

10:00 am – 1:30 pm
4th grade and up
$200 per session

The UNCG Spartan Skills camp is for girls entering grades 4th grade & up who want to improve their game and/or aspire to play softball at the collegiate level. This camp will have participants divided into competitive groups. This camp focuses on team strategies but also includes individual skill work beyond the basics for all areas of the game, including offensive, defense and position specific work. This camp is designed to enhance the players' skills, with specific drills and focus areas targeting different aspects of the game.

• Players will be split into age/skill specific groups during camp.

• Infield, outfield, pitching, catching, and hitting will be targeted.

• This camp will cover the specifics of glove work, footwork, and fundamentals necessary to improve all aspects of defensive play.

• The hitting portion of camp will focus on fundamentals of the swing. We will introduce multiple drills and cover strategies to improve as a hitter.

2025 Bi-Weekly Pitching Clinics

October 21, November 4th, November 18th, December 2nd, December 16th

Limited to 4 participants per Session

9th grade and up
$55 per session

The UNCG Spartan Bi-Weekly Pitching Clinics are for girls 9th grade and up who want to improve their pitching skills and/or aspire to pitch at the collegiate level. The pitching camp is geared towards advanced pitchers and will focus on mechanics and fundamentals that are essential for power and consistency, as well as break down various spins and pitch types.

Please bring cleats, as well as turfs/tennis shoes for indoor facilities

UNCG Softball: Winter Prospect Camp

January 17, 2026

10:00 am – 5:00 pm
6th - 12th Grade
$250 per session

The 2026 Winter Prospect Camp will focus on fine-tuning and improving players’ softball skills. All players will have the opportunity to work alongside the UNCG coaching staff and current student-athletes for both individual and group instruction.

The defensive portion will cover specific fundamentals and drills relating to correct throwing mechanics, glove work, footwork, and game strategy. The in-depth and advanced training will provide the players with key components to becoming the best defensive player they can be. Pitching and catching will also be covered in this clinic for players to increase skill and knowledge of their position. Pitchers and catchers will focus on learning their role in the battery. Pitchers will learn techniques and drills that focus on maximum velocity, movement on pitches, and situational pitching. Catchers will learn advanced techniques on blocking, framing, throwing, situational decisions, etc.

The offensive session is designed to improve players’ offensive game with the focus on proper and efficient mental preparation, effective mechanics, timing, and pitch recognition. Hitters will participate in drills that demonstrate fundamental techniques and are key components to being an elite hitter. Video analysis and review will be used to help players see technique and positioning throughout the swing. This clinic will mentally and physically prepare you for the upcoming season!

THINGS TO KNOW

• Check-in will begin at 9:30am; location is TBD (based on weather)
• Confirmation, directions, and other info will be sent via email
• Participants will be grouped according to age and skill level
